Sultanas are the best known raisin variety. They have a brown color and taste deliciously sweet. After harvesting, the bunches of grapes are dipped into a soda solution. This causes the grapes to crack and makes the moisture evaporate more quickly. Afterwards, they are dried naturally in the sun.
