Almonds have been enjoyed for centuries. Almonds grow in almost all countries around the Mediterranean Sea. However, California is currently the largest and most professional grower of almonds: 80% of all almonds are grown there. In the EU, Spain is the key player.
Almonds are very healthy nuts: they contain an enormous amount of fibre, healthy fats and proteins that provide you with all the energy you need. Ranobo’s classic brown almonds are always from the first harvest (Nonpareil) in California . They have a paper-thin, soft skin and a great taste.
Almonds are to be found in almost every Ranobo assortment. They are sold both separately and in various mixes (student oats, nut mix, …). Almond flour, sticks and shavings are also classics in our product range. We also use them in a few chocolate varieties such as Choco Almonds Caramel Salt.
