Sesame seeds are ideal for various preparations. With them you can add a crunchy umami touch to many savory dishes.

Soy sauce is poured over the hulled sesame seeds. Then the mixture is dried in the oven at a low temperature until all the soy sauce has evaporated. 

After drying, the seeds stick together and are one large cake. Carefully break this off until you have individual seeds in the bowl. 

Once cooled, it is the ideal umami topping for salad bowls, fish and wok dishes, soup or vegetarian dishes.
