Apricots & BIO apricots: there is a difference
When we think of apricots, we immediately see the soft orange fruit before us. At Ranobo you’ll only find the dried variety, both in our standard range and at RanoboBIO.

The difference between these two dried delicacies is clearly visible: BIO Apricots are darker than the non-organic varieties. Why is that?
The dark organic apricots are unsulphured. This means that these apricots haven’t been treated with sulphates to preserve the original orange colour of the fruit. Sulphitation is not harmful, as only authorised amounts of sulphite are used. Organic products should be kept in a pure, natural state as much as possible. For this reason they are not sulphured. Unsulphured apricots are slightly less sweet, but retain a considerable amount of vitamin A. This is good news for vegetarians and vegans since vitamin A is usually only found in animal products.
